Who is better totodile cyndaquil or chikorita

In terms of getting your badges, Cyndaquil is the best of the three. Totodile is the middle ground here as he is neither strong not weak against any of the Gyms and their Pokemon. This makes him another solid and reliable Pokemon. Chikorita and all its evolutions are the most balanced of all three Pokemon with nearly even scores in all stats.

Its lowest stat is its speed, but even that is more than above average for a Pokemon. It has no weak areas and excels in both attacks, both defenses and speed. Typhlosion is similar in that all of its stats are above average for a Pokemon, but it is primarily an offensive Pokemon.

Typhlosion has lower defensive stats than a Chikorita, but it has higher attack stats. Its speed is also higher. This can be a major problem as nearly every powerful Water Type move uses the Special Attack stat. The fact it learns the healing move Synthesis at level 11 helps even more and showcases the Chikorita family as strong defensive Pokemon. These two moves will keep Chikorita alive where its defenses might otherwise fail it. The Chikorita family also learns a vast array of defensive moves like Reflect, Light Screen, Safeguard and Aromatherapy.

Just remember you need to have SOME attacks in order to take out your opponent. Cyndaquil learns its first Fire move at level 10 with Ember.

Its best Fire moves are much later in the game. Lava Plume, Flamethrower and Eruption are all moves Typhlosion can take full advantage of and really lay some hurt down on its opponent. It can learn Swift, Quick Attack, and Double Edge in addition to the Tackle it starts with, but Swift will definitely be a nice move to have at times, especially in the midpoint of your Johto badge collection.

Age Cyndaquil is the easiest starter to beat the game with, as it learns good attacks early and it's effective against several of the game's Gyms, but late-game, it's rather weak. As Typhlosion, it has pretty good stats, but a shallow movepool. They are much better Fire-types, such as Growlithe, which are available early on. Totodile is a great choice. It's not as powerful as Cyndaquil early-game, but by the time it's Feraligatr, it has access to a huge movepool, and its stats are great too.

There are a lot of other great Water-types out there, though--there aren't quite as much Fire-types and Grass-types available. Chikorita is very, very week throughout the entirety of the game, being weak against the majority of the game's Gym Leaders and Elite Four members.

As a Meganium, it's a defensive Pokemon with a rather good movepool Outrage, Earthquake , but it's still weak to a lot of types.

If you want a challenge, go with Chikorita. Ivysaur Bulbagarden Forums. I would choose Chikorita to make the game a bit more of a challenge but if you want the easiest, go with Cyndaquil. I'd choose Totodile because Chikorita is weak and Totodile pwns Cyndaquil easily! Totodile, i think. I've played through with all three, and although Gyms were easier with Cyndaquil and evos.

I could definitely see the argument with all three of the evolution sets. However, Totodile is the best of the 3 in terms of battling. Joined Jun 2, Messages Reaction score 0. If you're going to solo the game, Meganium, I think, is out of the picture because it's typing has many weaknesses and it's offensive stats aren't that great.

This leaves Typhlosion and Feraligatr. Now, I like both, but Feraligatr wins me over. Typhlosion is fast and hits hard with special attacks, but it's movepool doesn't help to cover all typings.

Finally, to sum it all up it can also learn SwordsDance. It's typing is also weak to only two types: Grass and Electric which can be taken out with Ice Fang and Earthquake.

Insanish Danish oh wow, sports. Joined Feb 19, Messages 10, Reaction score 1, My preference is Chikorita, but Totodile would probably be the smartest choice. I went up against Falkner with my little unevolved Chikorita and he gave me hell. So go with Totodile. Sapphire Lobotomy Enthusiast. Joined Jul 7, Messages 1, Reaction score 1.

Totodile FTW!!!!!!!!!!!! It helps that it learns Ice moves, which work for Clair and Lance. Joined Jul 20, Messages Reaction score 0. Despite what people say, Chikorita isn't all that bad. I had one in a previous save and really enjoyed training one. Despite my sentiments towards it, it isn't as good as the other two. Totodile is great, probably the best of the starters. It was excellant typing and stats. I'd pick either Totodile or Cyndaquil.

Either one is great. GoldeenTail wats a user title. Joined Jun 23, Messages Reaction score 4. New posts. Search forums. Log in. Be sure to join the discussion on our discord at: Discord. JavaScript is disabled. For a better experience, please enable JavaScript in your browser before proceeding.
